Why convert JPEG to JPG

JPEG and JPG are the same image format; only the file extension differs. Older Windows versions used three-letter extensions, so .jpg stuck around. Some upload forms still check for ".jpg" exactly and reject ".jpeg". This tool saves your image as a .jpg so it passes, and lets you lower the quality to make the file smaller at the same time.

The converter runs entirely in your browser: your image is never uploaded, it's free, and there's no limit or sign-up.
