Why people use it

Photo or text to video

MiniMax H3 handles both image-to-video and text-to-video, so you can start from a picture or from scratch.

Sound included

Every video comes with an audio track, at no extra cost.

5 or 10 seconds

Choose a short loop or a longer clip, in 480p or 768p.

Five aspect ratios

For text to video, 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3 and 3:4 cover YouTube, TikTok, Reels and Instagram posts. Photo videos follow your photo's shape.

The lower-cost video option

Clips cost from 45 credits, depending on resolution and length. The 480p setting is the most affordable way to make a video on the site.

What is MiniMax H3?

MiniMax H3 is a video generation model from MiniMax, and we run its Max Turbo version as the default model for Image to Video and Text to Video. Give MiniMax H3 a photo or a written prompt, and it creates a short clip with motion and an audio track. You choose 5 or 10 seconds, 480p or 768p, and, for text to video, one of five aspect ratios.

What you can make with it

  • Bring a photo to life. Add movement to a portrait, a product shot or a landscape, such as a slow camera push-in, wind in the hair or waves on the water.
  • Short social clips. Vertical 9:16 videos for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, or square clips for feeds.
  • Text-only scenes. Describe a scene from scratch when you don't have a photo to start from.
  • Video effects and animated photos. Our AI Video Effects and Animate Photo tools run on MiniMax H3 with ready-made prompts, so you only need to upload a photo.

Tips for better videos

Describe motion, not just the scene: what moves, how fast and where the camera goes. "The woman turns her head and smiles, camera slowly pushes in, soft evening light" gives the model more to work with than "a woman smiling". When you start from a photo, use a sharp image where the subject is clearly visible. Try 480p first to check the motion, then rerun at 768p for the version you want to keep.

MiniMax H3 vs. Veo 3.1 Lite

Both models are available in Image to Video and Text to Video, and both create video with sound.

  • MiniMax H3 Max Turbo costs less, offers 5 or 10-second clips, 480p or 768p, and five aspect ratios including square.
  • Veo 3.1 Lite from Google makes 720p video in 16:9 or 9:16, with 4, 6 or 8-second lengths. It costs more per second.

Videos use purchased credits only, so it is worth testing an idea at 480p before spending more on a longer or sharper version.
